The MC112CS is a media converter designed to extend your Ethernet network over fiber optic cable. By converting RJ45 copper connections to single-mode fiber, it eliminates EMI interference and enables deployments where standard copper runs are impractical. The WDM (Wavelength Division Multiplexing) design transmits and receives data on one single fiber, reducing cable costs while maintaining full duplex performance. Compliant with 802.3u standards (10/100Base-TX and 100Base-FX), the MC112CS auto-negotiates half-duplex and full-duplex transfer modes, making it plug-and-play for most network environments.
